Shailene Woodley is an acclaimed American activist and actor. She gained fame for her performance as Alexandra King as Alexandra King in The Descendants. Alongside the highly praised performance she gave on The Descendants, Shailene has performed several roles which showed her ability to play tough characters easily. Shailene managed to establish herself in Hollywood early on in her career, which in and of itself is an impressive feat. She began her career with commercials and TV shows, but she soon moved to Hollywood film roles. Because of her acting abilities, she has won many accolades, such as MTV Movie Awards, People's Choice Awards, and Teen Choice Awards. Other prestigious awards such as the BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards have also been given to her. Shailene was an actor for a long time, however she is also a strong environmentalist. She co-founded the All it Takes non-profit organization together with her mother. For co-founding All it Takes, she was awarded the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award at the 20th Anniversary Global Green Environmental Awards in 2016.
