Dennings was in a romance with Nick Zano (co-star of "2 Broke Girls") in 2011 through the year 2014. After their breakup Dennings started dating the singer Josh Groban. They stayed together until the year 2016. Dennings started dating singer Andrew W.K. in 2021. They soon started getting together. They announced their commitment to each other in May 2021. Dennings is a long-time fan of this artist. He has been a fan of hers since the year 2014. Dennings has admitted that, even though she is Jewish and grew to be a member of the Jewish community at a social and ethnic level, religion is not a major part in her everyday day life. Her interests include painting, reading, and gardening. At one point in her life she planned to go to art school until it was ruined after her entire portfolio was destroyed in an inundation.
