
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. Beginning her acting career by starring in stage productions while attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut as Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and also appeared in a Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. After appearing in the action thriller Spartan (2004) which she also starred in, she was praised for her performance in Gracie's Choice (2004). In 2004, she made her stage debut on Broadway as Becky thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Then she was cast as a character in the popular teen drama TV series Veronica Mars (2004). Her performance received critical acclaim and a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on television. She reprised the character in the 2014 film as well as the reboot in 2019. Bell has been on the screen from 2007 to 2008 as Elle Bishop in Heroes, which was a drama about superheroes. Bell played the narrator of Heroes in the Teen Drama series Gossip Girl, reprising the role in the sequel in 2021. Bell also played the part of Jeannie van den Hooven, who is the main female character on Showtime's comedy show House of Lies. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop, the leading part of the critically-acclaimed NBC comedy show The Good Place. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. Bell was also the character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the streaming series The Woman in the Home Across the Street From the Girl in the Window.
